N Scale Passenger Car Lighting Boards

Super-capacitors and regulators provide constant lighting. Each board has 8 LEDs to insure uniform lighting (see photos). The LEDs are designed to simulate incandescent style lighting. Instructions and most parts for installation in cars without pickups are included. Metal wheels are required and must be obtained separately. This board is a drop in replacement for Walther’s and Railsmith N Scale passenger cars, it can also use existing pickups, or you can use supplied parts to make your own pickups. If you are pulling the car with steam then the use of Kato or similar passenger trucks are recommended as they have the lowest possible rolling resistance. Adjustable from dim to bright while installed in the car. When adjusted for normal light levels the car will remain lit at constant brightness for up to a 30 seconds after power is removed. Size: 5.6”(143 mm) x 0.51”(13 mm)

“ Outstanding!! I placed three of them in Walthers cars and was able to match the intensity to the same level as my Kato lighted cars. I did have to remove the Walthers contacts, as they were worthless. Instead, I soldered the phosphor wire to the boards and ran them underneath the cars, as described for the Kato conversion. It's a nice light, easily adjustable, NO FLICKER and sure beats the heck out of batteries!”
